What is EMT-Basic course?

The EMT-Basic course is designed to train individuals in the skills and knowledge necessary to complete the National Registry EMT examination and achieve certification as an Emergency Medical Technician.

How does it work?

Complete the Didactic Portion Online

Work at your own pace! Students have six months from the day they start to complete all aspects of the course. The program requires 140 hours to complete the online didactic portion.

Complete the Hands-On Skills Days

Students will complete two skills practice days and at least one National Registry Skills Testing Day. These days are scheduled in advance to accommodate students' schedules.

Complete the Clinical Rotations

RC Health Services provides clinical rotations through several major hospitals and municipal 911 EMS agencies across the United States. Students will complete 48 hours of EMS time with at least six patient transports and 24 hours in an emergency department.
