How to Become an EMT in Alaska with RC Health Services

At RC Health Services EMS Academy, we provide a flexible and comprehensive path for students in Alaska to earn their National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification. Our program is approved to offer NREMT certification, but please note that we are not approved to offer Alaska state certification. However, students from Alaska can obtain their EMT license through reciprocity after completing the program.

Our online EMT courses are designed for convenience, allowing you to study at your own pace. This flexibility makes it ideal for students balancing work, life, and education. For the hands-on skills training and testing, Alaska students will need to attend sessions at one of our main locations, with the nearest being in Boise, Idaho, located at 4355 W. Emerald St., Boise, ID 83706.

After completing our program and earning your NREMT certification, Alaska residents can apply for an Idaho state license and then proceed to apply for state licensure in Alaska through the reciprocity process.

Our hybrid model combines the flexibility of online learning with in-person skills training taught by experienced EMTs and paramedics. Whether you're in Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Juneau, you can complete the online portion from home and attend hands-on training sessions at one of our main locations.

While we don't have offices or affiliates directly in Alaska, students from across the state can still take advantage of our program and attend skills training at our Boise location or any of our nationwide sites.

Disclaimer: This course provides a pathway to NREMT certification and does not offer direct Alaska state certification. Graduates must apply for Alaska state licensure through the reciprocity process.
