Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course Options
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is offered in two training formats: blended learning and classroom-based training. Both ACLS course formats cover the same AHA science-based skills and provide the same AHA ACLS Course Completion Card upon completion.
Is ACLS the right course for you?
The ACLS course is designed for healthcare professionals involved in directing or assisting with cardiopulmonary arrest management and other cardiovascular emergencies, as well as emergency response personnel. Upon successfully completing the course, participants receive a certification card valid for two years. Please consult your employer to confirm that you are choosing the appropriate course.
ACLS for Experienced Providers:

For individuals skilled in BLS and ACLS techniques, proficient in ECG interpretation, knowledgeable in ACLS pharmacology, and who frequently lead or participate in the emergency assessment and treatment of patients in pre-arrest, arrest, or post-arrest conditions.
What does this course teach?
- Demonstrate proficiency in providing BLS care, including prioritizing chest compressions and integrating use of an AED
- Recognize and manage respiratory arrest
- Recognize and manage cardiac arrest until termination of resuscitation or transfer of care, including post–cardiac arrest care
